Round twelve of the Betfred Super League sees the Rhinos travel the short distance to Castleford to take on the Tigers at The Jungle on Saturday 24th May, kick off 2.30pm.

Leeds came away from AMT Headingley as victors earlier in the season against Danny McGuire's side, and look to secure home and away wins against the Tigers for a second consecutive season.

Opposition Overview

Since their defeat at the hands of the Rhinos at AMT Headingley, Castleford Tigers have only added one win as they prepare to meet Brad Arthur's side again this weekend.

Still building towards making a gap between them, Huddersfield and Salford at the foot of the table, the Tigers have added reinforcements in key positions for an upturn in performances. Brad Singleton's move from the Red Devils was followed by half-back Chris Atkin to add a new pivot alongside Rowan Milnes and Daejarn Asi. The club also added Hugo Salabio from Hull FC, Jordan Dezaria (who has since returned to Catalans) and Tom Amone to add to the forward pack, but the side is still sitting only two points ahead of the chasing Giants and Red Devils.

Both of Castleford's wins in 2025 have come against Salford and Huddersfield - the Giants going down 30-12 at the hands of the Fords thanks to tries from two tries from Innes Senior as well as one from Josh Simm. Simm has stepped up in his wing role this year to lead the team with five tries, whilst Zac Cini is third with two tries.

After a second meeting with Salford in round 11, they host Leeds before heading on the road to take on Warrington and Hull FC in their next three games. Then a run of consecutive home matches sees Hull KR, Wigan and Huddersfield, at which point the Tigers will be pushing to meet neighbours Wakefield judging how other results go.
