Everything you need to know about... Hull FC

There are three days to go until Hull FC arrive at AMT Headingley in round eleven of the Betfred Super League as Leeds Rhinos look to back up their win at Magic Weekend against the Airlie Birds, kick off 8pm.
The Rhinos can expect a different challenge from the Black and Whites in 2025 as they have been one of the standout sides in the competition after ten rounds of Super League action.
Let's take a closer look at Friday's opponents here:
2025: The comeback season
Hull FC's form in 2025 has been the polar opposite of where the club was positioned a year ago.
By stage of the 2024 campaign, Hull had only won once under Tony Smith in a tight 28-24 result over London, and had begun a run of eleven winless games which included an 18-12 defeat at the hands of Riley Lumb and the Rhinos at the MKM Stadium. Fast forward to 2025, the club is fifth in the league standings with seven wins in all competitions and arriving at AMT Headingley looking to jump Leeds and close the gap on the top three.
John Cartwright has masterminded the turnaround and got his new-look squad firing on all cylinders out of the gates when they put Catalans, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Warrington and Castleford to the sword, as well as knocking reigning holders Wigan out of the Challenge Cup. Jordan Rapana, Aidan Sezer, John Asiata and Cade Cust have all been largely present in the first 13 games of the season, whilst Lewis Martin and Herman Ese'ese have carried across their form from last year as two of the black and whites' shining lights. Martin's 13 tries have been the best by a Hull player this year as he leads the next group of players breaking through the ranks, including Davy Litten, Logan Moy and Denive Balmforth who have had increased minutes already under Cartwright.
Despite their early season form, the Airlie Birds arrive at AMT Headingley on the back of three consecutive defeats at the hands of Hull KR, Wigan and Huddersfield last time out, but a result in Leeds on Friday night would set the club up as they look ahead to trips to Leigh and Catalans before welcoming Castleford to the MKM Stadum at the start of June.

Round ten review
Key Names
Lewis Martin - Hull's leading try scorer has proved to be one of the rising stars of the Super League competition as he's backed up a strong debut season last year with six tries so far in 2025. The former West Hull player also leads the club in carries and metres so far this season, as well as accumulated nine tries in consecutive games between round two and the side's quarter final loss to Hull KR last month. He was also the sole scorer in two out of three games against the Rhinos last year.
Will Pryce - Returning from the NRL to occupy Hull's vacant number six shirt, Will Pryce adds a different dynamic to his half back partner Aidan Sezer. Well-known for his speed and quick feet from his time at Huddersfield, it was no surprise when the NRL came knocking and he made a try-scoring debut for the Knights. After five NRL games and 19 appearances in the NSW Cup, he announced his return to the UK in the derby clash against Hull KR and has switched to be the first choice full back in the last four games.
Herman Ese'ese - Ese'ese was undoubtedly Hull's top performer last year and this year the prop has stepped up again to lead the Airlie Birds' pack around the park. He's the highest-scoring forward in the league with seven tries in all competitions, and leads the club in post contact metres, offloads and tackle busts in 2025.
