Wallis joins Rhinos on loan from Huddersfield

Leeds Rhinos have signed Huddersfield Giants winger Elliot Wallis on a month loan.
The 24-year-old joined the Giants last season from Castleford Tigers and scored seven tries in 15 Super League appearances in 2024. He has added three more Super League appearances this season plus helping the Giants to the Challenge Cup semi final.
Elliot played in Super League for Castleford in 2023, scoring four tries in 13 appearances including his first try for the Tigers against Leeds at the Magic Weekend at St James Park.
He originally came through the City of Hull Academy programme making his Super League debut with Hull KR back in 2018 and has spent time on loan in the lower leagues with York, Bradford and Coventry.
The Hull-born winger took a break from the sport in 2021 after leaving Bradford Bulls and took up boxing full-time whilst helping out in a food bank alongside a leadership and management apprenticeship. That break re-invigorated his passion for the sport and he got the opportunity to return to the game playing in the Reserves at Castleford Tigers in 2022.
Commenting on the loan signing Leeds Rhinos Sporting Director Ian Blease said, “We are pleased to bring Elliot in on loan to give us cover in the outside backs. He has trained with the squad this week and will likely play for our Reserves next week as he looks to impress the coaching staff.”
