MATCH PREVIEW | Rhinos Academy clash with Bulls on Friday night

Currently in a three-horse race at the top of the Under-18s Academy league, Leeds Rhinos Under-18s have the chance to take top spot for themselves as Chev Walker's side takes on Bradford Bulls on Friday night at Stanningley, kick off 7pm.

Leeds are one of three teams tied at the top of the table with three wins so far this season. Warrington Wolves and Hull KR have also made an unbeaten start to the year, but as they face off against each other on Saturday afternoon, there is the opportunity that a win for the Rhinos on Friday night would see them move into first place on points difference.

An electric start to the year continued last time out at AMT Headingley for the young Rhinos as a hat trick from Marcus Qareqare led the side to a 42-6 win over Huddersfield Giants. Jacob Hardy also snuck a try at the end of that game to continue his try-scoring antics so far in 2025, as did Wade White who took his tally to four for the season with two against the Giants.

Leeds' strong start paid dividends as 11 players earned callups to the Yorkshire squad for this year's Academy Origin series, including leading try scorer Hardy, as well as the likes of Presley Cassell, Jacob Stead, Joe Diskin and Harley Thomas who have produced top performances this season.

Bradford come into round four of the season looking to build on their first win against Salford, having lost out to Castleford and Warrington in their opening games of the year. Jonathan Schofield's side came out 34-14 victors over the Red Devils thanks to two tries for Cameron Bate and look to build on their win over the Rhinos at Odsal last year, which saw Harvey Duckworth score the match winner in a 24-22 win.
