Rhinos Diary: What's on this week

This week at the Rhinos, four teams are in action across the weekend. The Under-18s Academy get the weekend underway as they look to continue their winning momentum against Bradford, before Brad Arthur's first team and the Rhinos LDSL teams both head north to St James' Park on Saturday as part of the Betfred Super League's Magic Weekend.

The action doesn't stop on Sunday too as NIC Leeds Rhinos Netball look to bounce back from their loss to Nottingham Forest as Lauren Palmer's side takes on Birmingham Panthers in the Netball Super League.

Friday 2nd May

Leeds Rhinos Under-18s Academy vs Bradford Bulls Under-18s Academy

Locked in a battle at the top of the Under-18s Academy table, Leeds Rhinos Under-18s can continue their strong start to the season when they host Bradford Bulls Under-18s at Stanningley on Friday night, kick off 7pm.

Chev Walker's side go in search of a fourth win of the campaign, having already toppled Wigan, Castleford and Huddersfield so far in 2025, whilst Bradford have lost the two games they've played against Castleford and Warrington.

Entry to Stanningley is £5 for adults and £3 for concessions. Team Sheets will be available on arrival, plus the clubhouse has a range of food and drink available.


Saturday 3rd May

Leeds Rhinos vs St Helens

Magic Weekend returns to Newcastle's St James' Park in 2025, and Leeds Rhinos take on a new opponent in St Helens to close out Saturday's fixtures, kick off 7.30pm. Both sides meet at Magic for the first time ever as they look to bounce back from losses to Hull KR and Warrington last time out. 

Rhinos members can still use their 50% discount both online and over the phone to get their tickets from as little as £15 for adults and £7.50 for juniors. Leeds Rhinos Official Coach Travel will be available for the Magic Weekend, for all 3 games on the Saturday only, including Leeds Rhinos v St Helens match, same day return is priced at £35.

Hull FC Wheelchair vs Leeds Rhinos Wheelchair

James Simpson's Leeds Rhinos Wheelchair side begin their campaign on Saturday afternoon as they take on Hull FC Wheelchair in the quarter finals of the Betfred Wheelchair Challenge Cup at Allam Sports Centre, KO 1.30pm.

The Rhinos look to return to the Cup final after missing out in 2024 as they take on a Hull side who pushed Leeds close in their last meeting in the Super League.

Entry is free of charge for all specators.

Leeds Rhinos LDSL

For fans heading up to Magic Weekend, make sure to keep an eye out for the LDSL Magic Weekend Festival on the pitch too.

A staple event of the weekend gives players the opportunity to showcase the best of Learning Disability Rugby League in front of the Magic Weekend crowd, so make sure to cheer the Rhinos team on!

Sunday 4th May

Birmingham Panthers vs NIC Leeds Rhinos Netball

With six games left to go in the Netball Super League, NIC Leeds Rhinos Netball look to bounce back from their defeat to Nottingham Forest last time out when they travel to Worcester Arena to take on Birmingham Panthers on Sunday, FCP 6pm.

The sides meet for the first time since round one when the Rhinos got their home campaign off to a winning start with a 71-63 triumph over the Panthers, but since then, they have one win in their last five games. Birmingham have one win in 2025 (a 71-70 result over Forest in round six) but they look get back to winning ways on home soil.
