Net Zero Game: Recycle kit and help others

At this Friday's Net Zero game we are giving fans the chance to reduce clothing waste and help other members of our community by donating clean and good quality sporting kit that can be passed onto those less fortunate so they can enjoy the benefits of sport and a healthier lifestyle.
In partnership with Active Leeds, there will be collection points around AMT Headingley at Friday's game where you can donate.
The Active Leeds K.E.E.P. (Keep Equipment Exchange Partnership) initiative, also known as the Leeds Equipment and Kit Exchange Partnership (LEKEP), focuses on recycling and reusing sports equipment in Leeds, UK. The program is a collaboration between various organizations, including Leeds City Council, Yorkshire Sport Foundation, and community groups, to provide sports attire to diverse communities. Here's a more detailed look at the K.E.E.P. initiative:
We want to pass on sports kit on to someone else, but we need your help to make sure the kit is usable.
* Clean and in good condition – No stains, rips, or heavy wear.
* Zips must work, and fastenings must be secure.
* Shoes should be in pairs – Tie the laces together or use an elastic band.
* No broken or damaged items – If it's too worn to wear, it's too
What If My Kit Isn’t Usable?
If your kit isn’t suitable for reuse, please recycle responsibly. The best place to take it is a Salvation Army textile bin, as they are transparent about where donations go. You can find your nearest bin here: https://salvationarmytrading.org.uk/find-us/.
Why It Matters – More Kids and Adults Playing Sport
While sustainability is important, the biggest impact is helping another person get into sport. Your donation could mean a child or adult gets to play rugby, football, netball, or another sport/ just being physically active when they might not have had the chance otherwise.
