Net Zero Game: More than a programme

Ahead of our Net Zero game this Friday against Hull KR, we thought it would be great to talk about our ever popular matchday programme Blue & Amber. 

Here are some facts about how the programme is produced to show how working with our partners at Ignition Publications, we are also mindful of the impact we are having on the environment. 

The printers purchase FSC & PEFC certified papers, so sustainably sourced, along with those containing recycled content. 

Paper used are also carbon-balanced via World Land Trust, with all donations being put towards numerous conservation schemes they support 

The printers are a user of paper and compostable magazine-wrappers, no longer the polythene wraps. Delivery of your Rhinos programmes come in an eco-friendly recycle paper wrap. 

Use eco-friendly coating solutions and have two in-house baling plants to assist with the removal of waste paper

The Rhinos programme contains no elements that make it harder to recycle. By stapling it, rather than binding it with a spine, no harmful PUR glue is used, and by being a 'self-cover’ programme it means all of the pages are printed on the same paper stock - there is no lamination added (which is made of plastic).

100% of a Leeds Rhinos programme can be recyled.

We also offer digital copies of the the matchday programme to Rhinos members and corporate guests reducing wasted copies that used to get binned.
