NEXT UP | Round Three vs Castleford Tigers

After their win over Salford, round three of the Betfred Super League closes out on Sunday 2nd March as Leeds Rhinos return to AMT Headingley to do battle with Yorkshire rivals Castleford Tigers, kick off 3pm.
Ahead of a return to home soil, here's your match preview:
Opposition Overview
Despite a tough set of pre-season results and a disappointing loss in the Betfred Challenge Cup to Bradford, Danny McGuire's Castleford Tigers came roaring out of the gates in round one of the Betfred Super League season as they pushed Hull KR into Golden Point at Sewell Group Craven Park.
Zac Cini, Fletcher Rooney and Josh Simm all opened their accounts for the campaign in the 19-18 defeat, before the Tigers met St Helens last weekend in their opening home game of the season.
In the aftermath of Craig Lingard's departure in 2024, McGuire has kept most of the squad together heading into this campaign including PNG Kumul Liam Horne, mid-season purchase Tex Hoy and top try scorer Innes Senior. Although the club may not have recruited big-name signings, they have got players for the future with an average age of 24. Both Senior brothers were rewarded for positive 2024 campaigns with new contracts, plus Zac Cini, Daejarn Asi, Judah Rimbu and Jeremiah Simbiken all moved from the southern hemisphere to join the club.
Asi has 14 NRL appearances under his belt and three tries over five seasons at North Queensland, NZ Warriors and Parramatta, and has made a quick start to life at The Jungle in the absence of Rowan Milnes. Full back Hoy looks to build on a positive six-months in black and amber as the club's other major pivot, and Horne has been one of the Tigers' best players in his third season at the club.
Arriving at AMT Headingley in round three, the Tigers have only scored 12 points in their last three meetings with the Rhinos and are without a win in Leeds since 2021. In Super League, the Tigers have 28 wins, compared to the Rhinos' 39 wins in the competition, as they look to end a three-match losing streak against Brad Arthur's side in all competitions.
