Loan Watch: Johnson helps keep Halifax in Play Off hunt

Last Sunday saw only hooker Corey Johnson feature on dual registration with Betfred Championship side Halifax Panthers as he continued his time at The Shay.

Corey Johnson - Halifax Panthers vs Dewsbury Rams

Halifax continued their push for a potential top six spot as they posted 34 points on Dewsbury Rams, and hooker Johnson played a hand in helping Liam Finn's side.

Ed Barber and James Woodburn-Hall helped the home side into the lead at half  time, before two tries from Gareth Widdop and Ben Tibbs both scored braces to put the result beyond doubt. Calum Turner was the Rams' sole scorer as they stayed bottom of the league table.

The result puts the Panthers in ninth place, six points outside the top six, but with the final three games of the season coming up against Toulouse, Bradford and Whitehaven, there is still a chance of the side breaking into the Play Offs should other team's results go their way.

Coming off the bench, Johnson made 14 tackles and 15 carries in 55 minutes on the field.
