Halifax Panthers had their recent winning run of form cut short by Swinton Lions as Liam Finn's side took a blow in making the post-season Play Offs.
A 20-6 result for the Lions saw the home side run into a 20 point lead, before Gareth Widdop's try six minutes from the end got the only points of the match for Halifax. Jake Spedding, Rhys Williams, Jayden Hatton and Gavin Rodden were the try scorers for Swinton, who moved to within two points of the Panthers with six games left to play.
Johnson featured at loose forward for the losing side and played 45 minutes. In total he made 8 carries and 16 tackles in the defeat.
Jack Smith (Bradford) and Leon Ruan (Hull FC) were both named in 21-man squads as they continued their loan deals until the end of the season, but didn't feature in the matchday teams. Kieran Hudson, who has played for the Rhinos Reserves in recent weeks, was named in Halifax's extended squad, but also wasn't selected.
