Salford travel to AMT Headingley to take on Rhinos Reserves this Saturday

Leeds Rhinos Reserves return to AMT Headingley this Saturday as the Rhinos take on Salford Red Devils, kick off 12.30pm.
The fixture was initially scheduled to take place on Thursday night, but has been moved to this Saturday. With four games to go in the season, the Rhinos look to finish strongly as they're four points away from second place in the league table.
Tony Smith's side come off a 26-18 defeat to Hull FC last time out, having won their last three against London Broncos, Castleford Tigers and Bradford Bulls, and out of their last four games, three of them are home clashes with the Red Devils, Wigan and Wakefield which will all take place at AMT Headingley. Looking at previous meetings with the Red Devils too, Leeds won the most recent clash at Salford Stadium last year, having suffered a 28-22 defeat at Stanningley in 2022.
The Red Devils had a two game winning streak ended in their most recent outing against Warrington Wolves as, like the Rhinos, they hope to start climbing the table with five games left.
Before a 44-22 loss to the Wolves in the middle of June, Salford had found some form in wins over London and Castleford as they added to their win over Wakefield from earlier in the season. Back in May, they also pushed a young Wigan side close in a 34-20 defeat, but now the side head to AMT Headingley looking to get their first Reserves win over the Rhinos in two years. Unlike most of the other Reserves outfits, Salford also have a game in hand against Hull KR to look forward to in September, after the game was called off earlier this year.
