Next Up: Leigh Leopards

Round fifteen of the Betfred Super League is set to be a special occasion at AMT Headingley as Leeds Rhinos take on Leigh Leopards in the club's annual MND Awareness game on Friday night, kick off 8pm.
The game will be played on Global MND Awareness Day and sees the club’s celebrate the life of legendary player Rob Burrow CBE, who passed away on 2nd June 2024. In recent years this match has been a key date in the calendar for the club’s fundraising support of the MND community and is heading for a capacity crowd.
Here's a preview ahead of the fixture:

Leigh Leopards arrive at AMT Headingley this week as Adrian Lam's side hope to start climbing up the league standings with 14 rounds left.
An inconsistent first 13 rounds of 2024 saw the Leopards, who had impressed the league by making the Play Offs in their first season back in Super League, start with only one league win in seven matches. Having lost tight games against Huddersfield and St Helens before the Rhinos secured a 22-16 win in round four, Leigh put 54 points on Hull FC to get their campaign underway thanks to two tries for both Ricky Leutele and Oliver Holmes, before losing out to Salford, Wigan and Warrington.
From the end of April though, the side started to pick up points as they put Catalans to the sword in a 30-2 win, drew 28-all with Castleford and then beat Salford 40-12 all on home soil, before beating Huddersfield 16-10 on the road to move up to ninth in the league standings. Umyla Hanley, in his second season at the club, particularly benefitted during the first half of the season as the young winger recorded eight tries in ten appearances, plus Josh Charnley has also continued his scoring spree from last season as he has nine tries.

Their successive run of away matches saw the Leopards beat Catalans last time out in a low scoring 10-2 result at the Stade Gilbert Brutus, and they head back on the road again this week against Leeds and derby rivals Wigan in the next two rounds. Games against Huddersfield, London and St Helens follow in July.
