Next Up: Castleford Tigers

Back in Super League action leading up to the Easter Weekend, Leeds Rhinos head down the road to Wheldon Road to take on Castleford Tigers at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle in round six of the Betfred Super League, kick off 8pm.
Here's a preview ahead of the fixture:

After the club secured its Super League status by fending off Wakefield towards the end of 2023, new head coach Craig Lingard has a clean slate to build in his first season in charge. It's been a tough start for the new boss though as his side is still looking for their first win of the new season.
Ten new arrivals, including former Rhino Luke Hooley, Sam Wood, Innes Senior and Rowan Milnes, have bolstered the Tigers' options across the field; Senior and Josh Simm in particular leading the try scoring with three tries each after five rounds. Tries have been a struggle though as only London and Hull FC have scored less than the Tigers in 2024.
Castleford enters this week's game off the back of 40 and 50-point losses to Catalans and Huddersfield in rounds four and five of Super League, but their closest contest came in round two against the Red Devils, who snuck a 26-22 result at the Salford Stadium despite Liam Horne's late try. Saturday saw Lingard take on his former club Batley Bulldogs in the Challenge Cup, but it's quickly back to League action on Thursday night against their Yorkshire rivals.
