Momirovski and Lisone return for Rhinos

Leeds Rhinos Head Coach Rohan Smith has named his 21 man squad for this Friday's clash with St Helens at AMT Headingley in the Betfred Challenge Cup, kick off 8pm

The Rhinos welcome back centre Paul Momirovski, who missed last Friday's game with a minor shoulder injury, and prop Sam Lisone, who has completed his three match suspension. 

Leeds and St Helens have been drawn against each other once again in the 2024 Sixth Round of the Betfred Challenge Cup when Paul Wellens will bring his side to AMT Headingley. 

Leeds and St Helens first met in the Challenge Cup 113 years ago and they will do battle again on the weekend of 23rd-24th of March.. 

The two sides first met in the famous old trophy back in 1911 in the second round when Leeds were Cup holders having won the tournament for the first time in 1910. The sides last met in 2021 at the Totally Wicked Stadium behind closed doors due to the global pandemic. Tommy Makinson and Regan Grace score two tries apiece as St Helens claim a hard-fought victory.

Modern history has seen the two powerhouses of the summer era meet on regular occasions in the Challenge Cup. Leeds and St Helens have met six times in Challenge Cup semi-final since 2001. 

There have been twenty one previous meetings in the Challenge Cup with Leeds winning eleven and Saints ten. The sides have met twice in the Challenge Cup Final at Wembley with Saints winning in 1972 before Leeds turned the tables to retain the Cup in 1978.

** Juniors are 16 and under. Junior 2024 Season Members are free for this game in any area of the ground but are required to book a ticket. This can be done online at tickets.therhinos.co.uk, over the phone on 0371 423 1415 and in store at Leeds Rhinos Club Shop and the Junior Member’s customer number will be required.

When Rhinos Members are booking online, the discount will apply when the customer number is allocated a junior ticket in the basket page.
