Casey and Butler pick up Young Player awards at

Young Leeds Rhinos players Caitlin Casey and Josh Butler have picked up the Young Player of the Year awards for the Betfred Womens Super League and Betfred Wheelchair Super League respectively.

Former Oulton Raidette Casey was only promoted to the first team squad this season from the club’s Academy where she has been a regular for Matty Bullough’s squad after impressing the Rhinos coaching staff and last year represented England Students.

She was called up to make her debut this season in the opening game of the campaign against York and has featured in every game this season including the Betfred Challenge Cup Final at Wembley and Sunday's defeat at York in the Betfred Womens Super League Grand Final.

Josh Butler was recently named the Leeds Rhinos Wheelchair Player of the Year after becoming a mainstay of the side this season as he helped James Simpson's side reach the Betfred Challenge Cup Final and this Sunday's Grand Final against Wigan Warriors in Manchester.  Butler has been part of the Rhinos Wheelchair side since 2011 having given up the running game due to his eye sight.
