Matchday pack - Round Nineteen

Tonight sees the Rhinos return to Headingley as they look to win their fourth game on the bounce against Hull KR, kick off 8pm.

Here is the matchday pack with all the info ahead of tonight's game:

Team News

Red Devils 21-man Squad

- Willie Peters is likely to give new loan signing Brad Schneider his debut for the Robins after he arrived in the country last week. Having played 12 games in the NRL under Ricky Stuart, he provides much need back up in Hull KR's spine positions.

- James Batchelor is back in the squad following a long-term neck injury suffered in the side’s loss to Salford at Magic Weekend. Former Rhino Jack Walker could also be involved in his first Super League game against his former employer.

- Kane Linnett and Mikey Lewis miss the clash through HIA's suffered against Hull FC last Sunday. The pair join a growing list of injuries for the Robins, which includes Jordan Abdull and Jesse Sue.

- Centre Jimmy Keinhorst is set to make his 200th career appearance against one of his former sides. If he's selected in the matchday 17 by Peters, the German international will hit the milestone at Headingley, a place where he played 90 times in a Rhinos shirt. Currently in his fifth season with the Robins, he has played 66 games so far in the red and white.

- Academy player Lennie Ellis is named alongside young Robin, Leo Tennison. A tall powerful front-rower, Tennison graduated to the first team in the off-season and has played for the club’s Reserves and impressed while on loan at Cornwall RLFC after earning a full-time contract while playing for the club’s Academy.

Rhinos 21-man squad

- The major boosts for Leeds sees Justin Sangare and Blake Austin come in to Rohan Smith's side for tonight's clash. Sangare has been out with a foot injury since the win over Huddersfield but is back, plus Austin served his suspension last week to also return.

- Both Ash Handley and Rhyse Martin are inching closer to milestones tonight. Handley can achieve two if he appears for Smith and also scores as he is one appearance away from 200 career games and a try away from a century in Super League. Martin on the other hand is four points shy of 1000 career points.

- Morgan Gannon, Zane Tetevano and Harry Newman are the only players that remain sidelined with injury. James Donaldson will also miss this week after picking up a HIA.

Last Leeds meeting with Robins at Headingley

In one of Jamie Jones-Buchanan’s last matches before Rohan Smith took the reigns of the Rhinos, Leeds edged Hull KR in a close 12-0 contest in 2022. Having broken a run of six games without a win the previous week against Toulouse, the Rhinos backed their performance up with an important win over Tony Smith’s Robins; Morgan Gannon and Matt Prior scoring the game’s only tries.
