Opposition Report - Hull KR

Following last week's tight win over Salford Red Devils, Leeds Rhinos return to Headingley this Friday night to take on Hull KR in round 19 of the Betfred Super League, kick off 8pm.
Preview our opponents below:
2023 so far...
Hull KR made a lightning fast to the Willie Peters era but injuries to key personnel has broken their stride.
Losing only three of their opening ten games of the year, the pre-season player recruitment and appointment of former Newcastle Knights man Peters looked to be a perfect combination as Hull KR looked convincing from their round one win over Wigan to a 40-0 win over city rivals Hull FC and 28-0 win over Huddersfield in rounds eight and 11. Lachlan Coote, who has been forced to retire, top try scorer Ryan Hall and Jordan Abdull have been crucial misses throughout this season, with Abdull and Sam Wood expected to miss a lengthly period. To respond to the growing injury list, former Leeds man Jack Walker, Catalans serial try scorer Fouad Yaha and rising Canberra star Brad Schneider have been brought in; Schneider could potentially debut at Headingley this week.
As the post season play offs approach, KR are back in a three-way tussle with Leeds and Salford again for the last place in the top six, with the Robins hoping not to miss out like they did in 2022. Looking at their run in, this week's visitors to Headingley have a tough run of opponents as they notably take on top four sides Wigan, St Helens, Leigh and Catalans from rounds 21 and 24. On top of that, Peters will have his eye on a potential date at Wembley, if the Robins can get passed last year's winners Wigan in the semi finals next weekend.
