Connections

During the Super League era, there are plenty of players and coaches that have been part of both Leeds and Salford teams down the years. Here are just a few that you might remember...

- Kallum Watkins: A highly anticipated player coming through the club's academy, centre Kallum Watkins went on to win every piece of domestic silverware in blue and amber between 2008 and 2019. He also scored 111 tries and 85 goals during that time, before moving to Salford off the back of a spell in the NRL. He faced his former club in the Challenge Cup Final in 2020 and so far this season, he has played every game.

- Rob Lui: A star half back that helped Salford survive relegation, Rob Lui signed for Leeds midway through the 2019 season to avoid the same fate. He wore blue and amber for three more years until he retired in 2022, notably lifting the Challenge Cup at Wembley in 2020.

- Joel Moon: A fan favourite from the minute he pulled on a Leeds shirt, centre Joel Moon helped the Rhinos win two Challenge Cups, a League Leaders' Shield and two Grand Finals over the course of his stay. Playing alongside Ryan Hall, he recorded 64 tries and set up many more, as well as kicking a drop goal before he returned to Australia in 2019.

- Ben Jones-Bishop: Winger Ben Jones-Bishop broke into the Leeds team at the start of 2011 and marked his first full campaign with an appearance at Wembley. A year later, he was the team's second highest try scorer behind Ryan Hall and collected his first silverware in a World Club Challenge medal and Grand Final ring. Switching to join Salford in 2015, his sole season saw the winger score 16 tries in 25 appearances.
