2023 so far...
Defeat to Wakefield on the road last Friday night saw Salford miss out on the opportunity to put breathing space between them and St Helens in the league table, and also close to gap on the top four.
After a performance described by head coach Paul Rowley as the worst under his leadership at the club, the Red Devils will be hoping to have key components Brodie Croft, Andy Ackers and Ryan Brierley back as soon as possible to bolster their chances of a Play-Off berth. Croft, who was influential in getting Salford to the semi-finals last year, hasn't played since the win over Castleford at the start of last month, meaning Kallum Watkins filled in alongside Marc Sneyd in last week's defeat to Trinity.
This season saw Salford hit a run of form from round eight, winning eight out of nine matches between April and June in all competitions. The win over Leeds at Headingley gave the Red Devils move to fifth in the table, after beating Leigh, Castleford and Catalans, and after losing out to St Helens in round twelve, they were quickly back to winning ways against Hull FC, Hull KR at Magic, the Tigers again and Huddersfield in the Cup.
Now on a three-game losing streak, a tough period for the Red Devils starts on Sunday against Leeds, before games against top six opposition Leigh, Catalans and St Helens take the club into August. Even after another meeting with Wakefield in round 23, a tough September awaits with fixtures against Wigan, Warrington, Hull KR and the Dragons to round off the regular season.

Last Super League clash
