Saints next up for Rhinos Under-16s

Now at the halfway point in their season, Leeds Rhinos Under-16s look to continue their winning run in 2023 against St Helens Under-16s, who are also unbeaten so far this season, at the Totally Wicked Stadium, kick off 7pm.

Wednesday's match will be a tough outing for the young Rhinos, who have amassed over 200 points and conceded none in three matches. Their most recent meeting saw Mark Butterill's side fight back from a tough first half at Odsal to take away a convincing 64-0 result over Bradford, adding to their 92-0 win over London at Headingley and 70-0 win over Hull KR in the opening match of the season.

Watch the Bulls highlights:

Wednesday's opposition, St Helens, also won big against London in their last match and are keen to hold onto their 100% record. Hull KR were also well beaten, but the Red Vee have already faced tough opposition when they claimed a 32-12 win over Wigan at the end of March.

This week's game marks back to back home fixtures for the Saints, who host Wakefield next in mid-June, whilst the Rhinos' away run comes to an end as Wakefield and Warrington all make the trip to Stanningley and Huddersfield get the opportunity to play at Headingley.

Team News

Mark Butterill has made three changes from the side that beat Bradford 64-0 at Odsal last month.

All the changes come on the bench as Harvey Butterworth, Will Hunter and Caleb Rhodes come in to make their second appearances of the season, after debuting in the win over London at Headingley. Butterworth and Hunter were try scorers in the 92-0 result against the Broncos and add depth alongside Joe Diskin, Jacob Hardy, Joe Butterfield and Daniel Stelfox.

Rotation in the starting squad sees Alex Cowley replace Elliott Fox at hooker, plus Dylan Hutchinson gets his second chance to play full back. Harley Thomas and Callum Webster combine on the right edge, as the Under-16s top try scorers this season look to add to their tally, whilst Presley Cassell and Zak Lloyd continue to be the only players to have started every game for Butterill this season.
