Huddersfield Giants Women 0 Leeds Rhinos Women 80

Leeds Rhinos Women bounced back from their opening game defeat with a huge 80-0 win over Huddersfield Giants, that equalled their highest recorded score of 80-0 against York back in their debut season in 2018.

Elle Frain opened up the try scoring account for the Rhinos before Eloise Hayward got her first try of the season.  Izzy Northrop registered her first try for the club and quickly added a second, which was converted by Sam Hulme to make it 20-0.

Sophie Robinson then added her first try of the season, but this time Hulme was unable to convert.  Georgia Hale, in her second game for the club, kept the scoreboard ticking over with her first try for the Rhinos and Hayward who took over on kicking duties added the extras.

Beth Lockwood crashed over before young academy graduate Caitlin Casey in just her second senior game bumped off two defenders.  Hayward converted both to make it 42-0 at the break.

Robinson got the scoring underway in the second half with her second of the match and then Kaiya Glynn marked her debut with a try and Hayward was on target with the conversion.  Jasmine Cudjoe and Tasha Gaines made an impact from the bench and added a try each, Gaines benefitting from a nice ball from Amy Hardcastle before diving over.

Hanna Butcher got the team's twelfth try of the game and then Lockwood and Casey wrapped up the win with two more; Casey making the break for a great solo try.
