Hooley joins Batley on loan

Leeds Rhinos Head Coach Rohan Smith has confirmed that young full back Luke Hooley will join Batley Bulldogs on loan for a month to continue his return to full fitness.
Hooley made his Rhinos debut last Friday in the defeat at Hull KR after being drafted in to replace Richie Myler. Hooley joined the Rhinos this off season from Batley but missed a large portion of pre-season due to an ankle injury.
Rohan Smith commented, "Luke going out on loan was always going to be the plan once we had full backs available and Richie missed due to the birth of his child last week. Luke needed a break and he got his opportunity. Obviously, it was a tough night but the plan was always to get some Championship rugby to get him up to full speed and Batley makes sense. It's a very familiar process for him and he can fit in comfortably. I'm looking forward to him getting some game time under his belt. Luke's bounced back from a lot already. It might take him a bit of time but he will be back."
