Loan Watch: Rhinos quartet get minutes in West Yorkshire derby

An exciting weekend in the Betfred Championship saw four Leeds Rhinos players take to the field for the derby fixture between Bradford Bulls and Keighley Cougars on Sunday.

The newly promoted Cougars had only two wins on their return to the second tier but in front of a crowd of over 4,500, they shocked the Bulls 34-6 at Cougar Park with tries from Alix Stephenson, Dane Chisholm, Luke Gale, Charlie Graham and Robbie Storey.

Leeds youngster Joe Gibbons was also among the scorers too in his first appearance for Rhys Lovegrove's side. The back-rower, who is the son of former Leeds player David Gibbons, joined the club on a season-long loan from Leeds earlier this month, after impressing in the club's Reserves last year.

On the opposite side of the field, Bradford had three Rhinos players among their ranks as the trio got additional game minutes away from the club.

Liam Tindall featured in his fourth game for the Bulls this season and was a try scorer again, while Leon Ruan played in his second consecutive game for Mark Dunning's side, having debuted for the club in last week's win over Sheffield. Luis Roberts also featured on the opposite wing to Tindall in his first action in the Championship this year.
