Rhinos Reserves clash with Wakefield at Headingley this Saturday

For the final time in 2022, Leeds Rhinos Reserves take to the field this Saturday as Chev Walker’s side look to finish their season on a high against Wakefield Trinity, kick off 12:45pm.
The game will be another curtain raiser, following last week’s tight ending for the Rhinos Under-18s, who edged Warrington to secure a home play off spot. It will be the Reserves’ second appearance at the stadium this season, after they were defeated 20-16 by Warrington in May; Jack Broadbent and Jack Sinfield scoring the tries.
The Rhinos are currently outside of the Play-Off spots in sixth place but are nevertheless looking to end the year on a high. Last time out, Leeds came up short against Hull FC in a tight tussle (Logan Moy scoring late on for the home side in a 28-22) to break Leeds’ three match winning streak. Prior to travelling to the East coast, the Rhinos had racked up wins over London, Newcastle and Huddersfield to take their record to seven wins in eleven games.

Wakefield are second in the league table with nine wins from twelve games. A confident start saw Trinity win their opening three matches against Hull KR, Salford and St Helens, the latter in a convincing 30-16 result.
They were due to host the Rhinos in round four but Leeds were handed the victory as the game was postponed. Nevertheless, leaders Warrington and Hull FC were also beaten before a four point loss against Wigan broke Wakefield’s stride. They then added 54-0 and 48-0 wins over London and Huddersfield, prior to taking on the Rhinos this Saturday.
