One week to go until Rhinos family game day!
There is only one week to go until our fun-filled, action-packed family day comes to Headingley Stadium!
There is everything from stormtroopers, to ponies, to even a triceratops positioned all around the ground, as well as our Rugby League double header which sees Leeds Rhinos Women clash with St Helens before the men’s team tackle Salford Red Devils.
Turnstiles open at 12pm on game day so come down early to enjoy what’s on offer and make the most of the afternoon. Here’s a taster of what to can expect…
More Rugby League!
Get more Rugby League action as both our men’s and women’s teams take to the field in another exciting double header. For the same price as your usual match ticket, get down to Headingley early to see Lois Forsell’s side take on the reigning Women’s Super League Champions St Helens in one of the games of the season at 12:30pm, before Rohan Smith’s Rhinos clash with Play Off hopefuls Salford Red Devils at 3pm.
The Force will be strong
We’ll be joined on match day by everyone’s favourite villain Darth Vader and Han Solo’s number one sidekick Chewbacca as all your favourite Star Wars characters descend on Headingley. Decide if you’re going to join the Jedi Knights or the Stormtroopers and make sure you grab a quick selfie too!
For the more daring fans, get up close and personal with some weird and wonderful creatures, including bearded dragons, pythons and frogs, at our Creepy Crawlies section. Look out for Turnip the Triceratops making his first appearance at Headingley too!
We’re thrilled to also be joined by our neighbours at Hope Pasture, who will be bringing ponies and donkeys for fans to meet and promote the valuable work the charity does to re-habilitate and re-home horses, ponies, and donkeys in need, as well as Guide Dogs UK, who are raising money for the vital work the charity does to provide life-changing services for those who are registered blind or partially sighted. Please give generously as you enter the turnstiles.
A Feast for the eyes and the ears
Around the ground, fans can check out our bubble artists, have your face painted in Rhinos colours, get a balloon model, measure up against our 9ft roaming robot and test their skills on the inflatables. This is all supported by live DJ sets in the South Stand Concourse and around the ground.
