Handley completes top five – five try hauls

Ash Handley ran in five tries as the Rhinos defeated Hull FC in Round 17 of the Betfred Super League, becoming the first Leeds player to score five tries in a Super League game for a decade.

Prior to Handley haul, only three players had managed to score five in a game previously. Danny McGuire achieved the first in 2004 and the most recent in 2012 against Widnes and Bradford respectively.

In between Ali Lauitiiti at Wakefield in 2005 and Ryan Hall against Castleford at Headingley in 2009 also grabbed a handful of tries.

Of course, Tom Briscoe also famously scored five at Wembley in 2015 when Leeds beat Hull KR to win the Challenge Cup.
