Rovers next up for Rhinos
Leeds Rhinos will continue their preparations for the new Betfred Super League season when they travel to the Millennium Stadium, Post Office Road to face Brian McDermott’s Featherstone Rovers on Sunday 16th January, kick off 3pm.
Rovers will be hoping to go one better in 2022 having missed out to Toulouse in the Million Pound Game last season. It was a successful campaign once again for James Webster’s side having won the 1895 Cup at Wembley and finishing second to Toulouse despite playing seven more games than the French side and only suffering one defeat all season.
Webster has been replaced by McDermott for the new campaign and they have made some big signings for the 2022 season. Luke Briscoe returns to Featherstone colours having had a record breaking spell at Post Office Road earlier in his career as he is joined by Ben Hellewell and Matty Wildie (both from Leigh) and Jesse Sene-Lefao from Castleford with Super League experience. They have also picked up Morgan Smith (York) and Brandon Pickersgill (Bradford) from the Championship whilst they have also added overseas experience in the shape of Joey Leilua from Wests Tigers and Bayley Gill from Mackay Cutters.
Tickets for the game are £10 for adults and £5 for concessions. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by clicking here.
