Essential fans information for Rhinos v Wakefield on Boxing Day

Tickets for the Boxing Day fixture will be advance purchase only. There will be no ticket sales or cash turnstiles available on match day – all tickets (subject to availability) must be purchased before midnight on Christmas Day. As it stands, tickets are selling fast, please ensure you purchase soon to avoid disappointment.

Leeds Rhinos 2022 Season Memberships are not valid for this match and 2022 Flexi Members cannot redeem a match credit for this game – tickets must be purchased by all fans for this game and must be purchased in advance.

Currently all standing tickets for this fixture have now sold out. We still have seating availability in Tetley’s South Stand Seats, Global East Stand Seats and North Stand Seats. Prices are £25 for Adults, £20 for Concessions* and £10 for Juniors (aged 16 and under).

Adult and Concession 2021 and 2022 members are able to save £3 on their own ticket if they purchase their ticket before midnight on Christmas Day.

*Concessions are Senior Citizens aged 65 and over, Students with valid university ID with expiry date (we no longer accept NUS, Totum or UniDays as valid ID), Under 21s and Disabled Concessions with valid PIP. A free companion ticket is available upon production of the necessary disabled and companion proof.

If you are unable to make the match, Leeds Rhinos have teamed up with Our League to offer Rugby League fans around the world the chance to watch our traditional Boxing Day clash against Wakefield Trinity, live from Headingley Stadium, kick off 11.30am.

The game will be available to fans at a cost of £4.95 if booked before midnight on Christmas Day, please be aware the price will rise to £10 on the day of the game, so fans are encouraged to purchase in advance of game day. In order to purchase the game, you need to be logged into your Our League account on the rugby-league.com website. You cannot purchase within the app. The full game replay will be available to anyone who has pre-ordered the game and fans who do not purchase before the game can also pay to watch the full match again after the final hooter for £4.95.

LEEDS RHINOS V WAKEFIELD TRINITY – SUNDAY 26TH DECEMBER 2021 – KICK OFF 11:30AM

WETHERBY WHALER FESTIVE CHALLENGE 2021

In light of recent Government recommendations under their Plan B regulations, Leeds Rhinos have voluntarily reduced the capacity for Headingley Stadium for the Wetherby Whaler Festive Challenge on Boxing Day against Wakefield Trinity to 9,999. There will be no requirement to show vaccination status or a recent negative test to enter the stadium. However, the club would like to remind all spectators they are responsible for ensuring them and everyone in their party has read the below information in regards to COVID-19 and match day and if any of their party is experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, then we ask you DO NOT travel to Headingley Stadium on match day. 

We understand that everyone will have differing views. It’s been a difficult period for all and ‘Plan B’ will pose different challenges and everyone is still getting used to being in crowded spaces and around others again. Please be respectful to one another and considerate of others wishes, especially the wearing of masks, social distancing and other factors.

Please be patient and supportive of one another and most importantly be kind.

TESTING AND VACCINATIONS

We will not require fans to undergo tests or provide COVID vaccination certification prior to entering Headingley Stadium.

We do recommend fans take a lateral flow test in advance of match day to ensure they are free of COVID-19 before attending.

FACEMASK AND FACE COVERINGS

All supporters aged 11 and over will be legally required to wear a face covering when located in all indoor areas, other than when eating or drinking, or where they are exempt. 

Face coverings are strongly recommended when brushing past others, or when moving in or around the stadium in close proximity to others such as when entering the ground.

CLEANING

Please ensure you continue to wash your hands regularly, and/or use the hand sanitizer provided.

Leeds Rhinos will continue to undertake cleaning of all public spaces including bars and toilets throughout match day.

‘LESS CROWDED’ AREAS

We have kept aside some ‘less crowded’ areas, so should you wish to move to those areas of the stadium on match day to watch the game, please speak to a supervisor or ask at our Ticket Office and we will organise that for you.

RESPECT OUR STAFF

We ask that all supporters and visitors treat all staff and club officials with respect and patience as we introduce these new regulations. Abuse or threatening behaviour towards staff or club officials will not be tolerated.

TRAVELLING TO THE STADIUM

Please ensure however you choose to travel to the stadium you do it safely and where possible sustainably. Turnstiles will open at 10am so please allow extra time to arrive early at the stadium and help with the safe entry for all spectators into the ground.

All coach parking is available on St Michaels Lane (near the allotments – there is no access via the railway bridge on St. Michaels Lane for coaches). WHAT TIME DO TURNSTILES OPEN?

Turnstiles are available on St Michael’s Lane (Gate B), Kirkstall Lane (Gate G) and at South Stand on St Michael’s Lane (Gate E) and will open at 10am.

Fans with South Stand tickets can enter the stadium by all turnstiles. 

Fans with tickets for North Stand, Global East Stand and West Terrace can enter via St Michaels Lane (Gate B) or Kirkstall Lane (Gate G) turnstiles only.

Please ensure you give yourselves plenty of time on match day to enter the stadium and get to your position.

CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS ON MATCHDAY?

Tickets will not be available to purchase on match day and there will be no cash turnstiles available. All tickets (subject to availability) must be purchased before midnight on Christmas Day.

CAN I MOVE AROUND THE STADIUM?

Fans with South Stand tickets can enter the stadium by all turnstiles. 

Fans with tickets for North Stand, Global East Stand and West Terrace can enter via St Michaels Lane (Gate B) or Kirkstall Lane (Gate G) turnstiles only.

Once in the ground, please ensure you go directly to your stand, and we request you use the bar and toilet facilities in your stand only.

Fans cannot transfer in either direction across the South West Corner (between the Western Terrace and Tetley’s South Stand).

Please ensure you give yourselves plenty of time on match day to get to your position.

LEEDS RHINOS TICKET OFFICE

Leeds Rhinos Ticket Office will open at 9:30am on matchday for collections only and will close 20 minutes after the final whistle.

Don’t forget we are open during the game too if you need any assistance.

DIGITAL TICKETS

LEEDS RHINOS CLUB SHOP

Leeds Rhinos Club Shop will be open to match attendees only from 10am until 20 minutes after the final whistle selling a range of Leeds Rhinos merchandise. 

Our Club Shop is now ‘cashless’ so please ensure you bring your credit / debit card OR you can pay using your smartphone.

DRINKS AND SNACKS

  • Food concession units will be available around the ground serving a variety of hot food and hot drinks.
  • We operate a ‘Challenge 25’ policy at our bars. ID may be requested when purchasing alcohol. If this cannot be produced this may result in the order being refused or cancelled.
  • All our bars and food concession units are now ‘cashless’ so please ensure you bring your credit / debit card OR you can pay using your smartphone.

Reusable cups are no longer in use and supporters will be served drinks in recyclable paper cups.

BARS INFORMATION

We are not fully back to normal match day operations yet, please see below the small changes to our bars on match day for the time being: –

  • All public bars in concourses will open at 10:30am.
  • The Global East Stand Café Bar will be open selling hot drinks from Costa Coffee and breakfast sandwiches. 
  • The Long Bar will NOT BE open pre and post-match for this fixture.
  • All public bars will close 15 mins after half time 

All our bars and food concession units are now ‘cashless’ so please ensure you bring your credit / debit card OR you can pay using your smartphone.

MATCH DAY ENTERTAINMENT

Pre-Match – There is live music from buskers around the ground along with acrobatic elves and Frozen characters. Everyone’s favourite mascot, Ronnie the Rhino, will be up to his usual antics. There will also be local junior teams playing small-sided matches on the pitch in the build up to kick off. 

Prior to kick off there will be a minute’s silence in memory of all our supporters who have passed away during 2021 followed by the Last Post before the match begins.

Half Time – At half time, The New York Brass Band made up of a seven-piece brass band will perform a medley of Christmas classics on pitch. We will also be making the draw for the Golden Gamble, so make sure you get your ticket before kick off from sellers around the ground.

Post-Match – After the final whistle, we will have the presentation of the Wetherby Whaler Festive Challenge Trophy to the winning team on the pitch. 

CAN I BRING A BAG?

Small bags (no larger than an A4 piece of paper) will be allowed on match day. These will be subject to searches at the turnstiles. Please do not bring anything larger than this as you will not be allowed to bring it in. SMOKING

Smoking, vaping and e-cigarettes will be allowed in designated smoking areas which are at Gate B, Gate D and Gate G.

WI-FI

Super-fast free Wi-Fi is available for all fans on match day! Just join the ‘Rhinos-FREE’ network to get started. 

MATCH DAY PROGRAMMES

Programmes are now available on matchday to buy for £2. Unfortunately, programme sellers are unable to take credit / debit payments so you will need to bring cash to pay for this. Please try to bring the correct change. The Ticket Office will be able to offer card payments for programmes if you haven’t brought cash!

GOLDEN GAMBLE

Golden Gamble (match day half time draw) is available for this game for only £1 a ticket with the chance to win up to £2000! Don’t forget to pick up your ticket from sellers around the ground when you arrive at the game! Please be aware this is cash only.

FANS PHONE

The Fans Phone allows you to report any issues anonymously and to ensure our fans don’t feel in danger by visibly reporting issues to stewards. Should you need to report anything on the day, please use our fans text line number on 07500 312 832 (texts are charged at standard network rate). Please provide as much detail as possible about the problem and your location to allow our stewards to monitor the situation and act where necessary. 

RESPECT OUR NEIGHBOURS

Please remember, Headingley Stadium is situated in a residential area and we ask that you ensure you respect our neighbours when arriving and departing the stadium for matches.

Please ensure if you are parking your vehicle in the surrounding streets that you do it sensibly, you dispose of any waste responsibly, and finally, remain on public highways and keep noise levels to a minimum.
