Gale leaves Rhinos to join Hull FC

Former Leeds Rhinos captain Luke Gale has been released from the remaining year of his contract with the club to enable him to join Hull FC on a two year contract.

Gale returned to his home town club in 2020 from Castleford Tigers, having originally started his career in the club’s Academy. He led the Rhinos to glory in the Challenge Cup Final at Wembley that year, kicking the crucial drop goal in the win over Salford Red Devils.

Commenting on move, Rhinos Chief Executive Gary Hetherington said, “The move has been a very amicable arrangement between both clubs. On behalf of everyone at the Rhinos, I would like to thank Luke for his efforts over the last two years and he leaves with our best wishes.”
