Forsell names side for Play-Off semi final

Leeds Rhinos Women will make their bid to get back to the Betfred Women’s Super League Grand Final when they face local rivals York City Knights in the play off semi finals this Sunday at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

The teams last met in the play offs last month when the Rhinos secured a 14-4 win. The teams opened up their 2021 campaigns against each other – the Rhinos earning a convincing 68-16 victory with braces from Adoaha Akwiwu and Elle Frain.

This will be the first time the players have met in the play offs, but the teams have played each other six times in the league and the Rhinos have been the winners in each of those games. Courtney Winfield-Hill can extend a scoring run against York in the league that has seen the half back scored 100 points against the Knights (six tries and 38 conversions)

Elychia Watson, who made her debut in the Rhinos’ last game against Wigan Warriors, retains her place in the squad and Eloise Hayward comes back into the 19.

The players still unavailable are Tara Moxon, Amy Johnson, Paige Webster, Dannielle Anderson, Adahoa Akwiwu and Shannon Lacey through injury.
