Leeds Rhinos Netball Pathway have announced their coaching team for the upcoming season.

Francine Hall, who coached the Under-19s last season will take charge of the Under-21s and will be assisted by Kate Lightfoot, who will continue her role as U21s Assistant Coach.

Jan Hemsley and Georgie Thompson will co-coach the U19s together, Debbie Wright has been appointed head coach of the U17s and she will be assisted by Julie Dolman and Beccy Lewis will continue to coach the Under-15s and Amy Horsfield will be assistant. This year the club have appointed apprentice coaches to work alongside the Head coaches and Lisa Driver, Beth Cotton and Hannah Shearwood will take on these roles.

Beth Cotton is also part of the coaching set up for the North Academy, alongside Lee Davis. Joan Young and Emma Peczek will coach the West Academy, Dianne Guy and Olivia Parks will form the coaching of the South Academy and Vanessa McErlain-Naylor and Hannah Doughty will co-coach East Academy.

Emily Handyside, Pathway Manager said: “We are delighted to retain our pathway coaches moving into the 2021-22 season. Our team represents all of Yorkshire with coaches from the South, West, North and Humberside counties of the region. Their knowledge and experience from working on the ground and what they bring to us is invaluable. Likewise, the experiences they gain with us and that they take me back to their clubs, helps us to develop the game more broadly.

“We are pleased to promote several of the coaches within our pathway in recognition of their impact to date. Georgie Thomson moves from U17s to U19s and Debbie Wright from U15 to U17s. We are also delighted that we are able to add experience with the likes of Julie Dolman from Wasps Netball.

“It’s exciting to support the development of coaches as well as athletes in our pathway and I have no doubt we have a fantastic team to help us to keep growing this coming season.”
