Holroyd set for first appearance in 2021

Rising star Tom Holroyd is set to make his first appearance fo the 2021 season when the Rhinos travel to Salford Red Devils this Sunday, kick off 1pm.

The 20-year-old prop enjoyed a break through year last season but has yet to play this campaign after suffering a fracture to his leg in pre-season.

Leeds Rhinos Head Coach Richard Agar has included the five players who will take part in the England v Combined Nations All Stars game on Friday night at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington. England internationals Luke Gale, Ash Handley and Mikolaj Oledzki along with All Stars squad members Kruise Leeming and Matt Prior could back up 48 hours later against the Red Devils.

The Rhinos are without Liam Sutcliffe and Zane Tetevano as they complete the compulsory return to play protocols following the recent Covid 19 outbreak at the club.

Leeds Rhinos season and flexi members can watch Sunday’s game live on the Our League app with full live coverage of the game.

The Rhinos have had some positive news on the injury front with Cameron Smith, Alex Sutcliffe, Callum McLelland and Rob Lui all running this week at training as they near their return to action. Harry Newman is continuing his rehab as he waits for the all clear from the specialist on his leg break whilst Jack Walker is making progress following foot surgery.
