Rhinos trip to Salford moved to Sunday

AJ Bell Stadium, home of Salford Red Devils

Leeds Rhinos Betfred Super League clash at Salford Reds Devils this weekend will now take place on Sunday 27th June, kick off 1pm at the AJ Bell Stadium.

The move came about to ensure the game could be completed this weekend. Leeds Rhinos have five players involved in the England v Combined Nations All Stars game on Friday night with a further five players only cleared to return to playing over the weekend following positive Covid 19 tests last week. The RFL regulations allow for any team that has four or more players selected for an international to be able to request a postponement however Leeds were keen to play the game this weekend with a congested fixture list already in place for the remainder of the season.

Ticket holders for Friday’s game will be able to use them for Sunday’s match. If you are unable to attend Sunday’s re-arranged please contact the Salford Red Devils ticket office by emailing [email protected] with your phone number and the ticket office will call you back to arrange a refund.

All those who have already bought tickets for the original date, your tickets will remain valid for Sunday. Any tickets that are  bought from now until 10am online on game day, will be issued with the new date.

Salford have confirmed that, due to the restrictions currently in place on supporters not being able to eat or drink in the terraces, fans in North and South stands will be able to leave from 10 minutes before halftime, where they can purchase food and drink in the marquee outside the stadium. You will receive a stamp to get back into the AJ Bell Stadium and must be back inside the ground before the start of the second half.

Leeds Rhinos season and flexi members can watch the game live on Sunday on the Our League app by using the code you were sent earlier this year.

We would like to thank the RFL, Super League and Salford Red Devils in working with us to find the best solution to ensure this weekend’s game can still take place.
