Last Sunday supporters made a welcome return to Emerald Headingley for the first time in 14 months and the club’s number one fan Ronnie the Rhino was delighted to be back cheering on the team again.

Ronnie made his first appearance at a Rhinos game in 444 days and was wearing his new kit, which this year is once again sponsored by Bill Dyson Skip Hire and Warners Fish Merchants Ltd.  Ronnie entered the pitch with his famous slide, to the cheers of the South Stand and then braved the rain to entertain the fans pre match.

Business Development Executive Lucy Hetherington said: “Ronnie has been part of the Rhinos match day experience now for 24 years so it was brilliant to see him and our supporters back at Emerald Headingley.

“We would like to thank Bill Dyson Skip Hire and Warners Fish Merchants for their fantastic continued support.  They are both great Yorkshire businesses, run by brilliant people and we are proud to be associated with them.  It was great to see Ronnie wearing his new 2021 kit on Sunday with their logos on.”

Ronnie will be back at Emerald Headingley on 11th June when the Rhinos take on St Helens in Super League.
