Severn Stars next up for Rhinos Netball in Vitality Netball Superleague

Leeds Rhinos Netball will play Severn Stars this Sunday 16th May in Round 16 of the Vitality Netball Superleague.

Severn Stars are ninth in the league, but level on points with London Pulse in eigth. They lost out to top four side Loughborough Lightning in their last game by just nine points but prior to this had won their third game of the season against Surrey Storm.

ABOUT THE OPPOSITION

Playing games in Gloucester and Worcester, Severn Stars were formed in 2017 and joined the league for the 2018 season. Stars finished sixth in both of their full seasons in which they have competed and, as they continue to grow, they will be looking climb up the league. Stars have caught the eye with impressive summer signings and a string of impressive off-field appointments.

They have a number of internationals in their squad including Roses players Serena Guthrie, who was a  2018 Commonwealth Game winner, Sophie Drakeford-Lewis, Imogen Allison and Layla Guscoth.

LAST TIME OUT

Sienna Rushton scored 29 goals and Player of the Match Rhea Dixon added 13 to wrap up a hard fought 42-38 win for Rhinos Netball against Severn Stars.
