Rhinos Netball to face league leaders next in Vitality Netball Superleague

Leeds Rhinos Netball return to action in the Vitality Netball Superleague on Sunday 9th May to face league leaders Team Bath for the second time this season.

Team Bath are the form team in the competition and are top of the table having won 13 of their 14 games of the season. Their biggest win of the season remains their opening game victory against Celtic Dragons when they notched up a 61-29 win. They have scored over 40 points in all but two games this season, one of those in their only defeat of the season against Mavericks who just edged them in a 39-38 win.

ABOUT THE OPPOSITION

Team Bath are coached by Anna Stembridge and are the most successful side in Superleague history winning five Grand Finals. They won the the inaugural title in 2006 and are the only side in the league to have won every Grand Final they have appeared in.

They have a number of internationals in their squad including Roses players Serena Guthrie, who was a  2018 Commonwealth Game winner, Sophie Drakeford-Lewis, Imogen Allison and Layla Guscoth.

LAST TIME OUT

Team Bath bounced back from their first defeat of the season to earn a hard fought 52-42 win against the Rhinos. Donnell Wallam made her return from injury in style to score 42 goals and Rhea Dixon added four more but Kimberley Borger and Sophie Drakeford-Lewis scored a combined 52 goals for Bath to take the win.
