Ryan Bailey, Danny McGuire, Kevin Sinfield, Rob Burrow and Jamie Jones-Buchanan with the Grand Final Trophy.

If you have ever wondered what inspired legendary Leeds captain Kevin Sinfield to continue to strive to be the best when he had already achieved so much or how he set about tackling seven marathons in seven days, a new podcast gives a listener a unique insight into the mental preparation the Rhinos Director of Rugby uses.

The High Performance Podcast brings you an intimate glimpse into the lives of high-achieving, world-class performers who have all excelled in their field with first-hand experiences and lessons to share. Find out what non-negotiable behaviours they employed to get them to the top and keep them there.

Hosting every conversation is sports broadcaster Jake Humphrey and leading organisational psychologist Damian Hughes. Jake is currently BT Sport’s Premier League anchor and former lead presenter of BBC’s Formula One coverage. Damian is an author and professor who continues to work with leading sports organisations to create a high-performing culture.

Kevin won seven Grand Finals, two Challenge Cups, three World Club Challenges and three League Leaders Shields in his time with the Rhinos.

Kevin played 521 games for the club, finishing with 3,968 points including 1,832 goals. Since leaving the Rhinos, he took up the position as Rugby Director with the Rugby Football League and was a key part of the World Cup management team that took England back to the World Cup Final in December 2017.

In 2020 Kevin set the challenge to run 7 marathons in 7 days hoping to raise £77,777 in honour of his best Rob Burrow, who wore the No 7 shirt. He raised more than £2.7 million to help his friend’s family and the fight against MND.
