Since leaving the Rhinos, he took up the position as Rugby Director with the Rugby Football League and was a key part of the World Cup management team that took England back to the World Cup Final in December 2017.
In 2020 Kevin set the challenge to run 7 marathons in 7 days hoping to raise £77,777 in honour of his best Rob Burrow, who wore the No 7 shirt. He raised more than £2.7 million to help his friend’s family and the fight against MND.
