On this Day – 18th February

ON THIS DAY in 2005 the Rhinos began their home campaign in front of a capacity 21,225 and secured a 30-18 win over St Helens.

The Rhinos took the lead inside five minutes when Mark Calderwood produced a textbook dummy to ghost past Darren Albert. Sinfield added the conversion to extend the Rhinos lead. Calderwood crossed for one more in the game and Chev Walker, Richard Mathers and Willie Poching got the rest for the champions.

ON THIS DAY in 2011 the Rhinos produced a commanding performance to make it two wins from two at the start of the season with a 32-18 win over Hull FC.

Leeds made the perfect to start to the game with a try from Brent Webb and then Rob Burrow, Ryan Hall, Ben Jones-Bishop, Chris Clarkson and Weller Hauraki all scored tries for the Rhinos.
