Leeds MPs send their support for Leeds Rhinos Netball for their debut season
Leeds Rhinos Netball have received support from MPs in Leeds wishing the team their support ahead of their inaugural season in the Vitality Netball Superleague.
Rachel Reeves, Member of Parliament for Leeds West, said: “Congratulations on this historic achievement! I wish you the best of luck for this afternoon, and I hope you enjoy your first game in Super League netball, although it will be under such strange circumstances! I’m sure that all of Leeds and Yorkshire is behind you, and I’m proud that girls across our county have such brilliant role models to look up to.”
There were also messages on social media from Labour MP for Leeds North East, Fabian Hamilton and Labour MP for Leeds Central, Hilary Benn.
As well as the city’s MPs, the Yorkshire Netball community has also given the team the backing with messages of support along with the players’ former clubs.
