2021 update for Rhinos members

Leeds Rhinos Chief Executive Gary Hetherington has given 2021 members an update on the club’s plans for the year following the latest government lockdown in England that began this week.

A belated Happy New Year and let’s hope it’s a good one for all of us!

As we now know, 2020 was a year of unprecedented disruption and challenge and COVID hit us hard!  But we have steered our way thanks to the terrific support from all our Players, Staff, Directors, Sponsors and Members like yourself and we should all be very proud of this achievement.

2021 hasn’t started in the way we hoped and we still have challenges ahead, but the new vaccine will ultimately bring some normality to life and a return of things we look forward to, like Betfred Super League games at Emerald Headingley with a crowd!

We are hopeful we will start the new season in March with some crowds at games and our Members will have priority.  Should this not be the case for any reason, the Club will ensure all our Members will not be disadvantaged! We will continue to provide regular communication to you all as and when we are able.

Unlike the last lockdown, all our Players are in full training and raring to go for the new season and I do believe we can build on last season’s Challenge Cup Final victory at Wembley.

Thanks again for your support, which we need now more than ever before and please be assured everything possible will be done to ensure your safety and comfort in the coming season.

Very best wishes
