Rhinos legend Burrow shares Spirit of Super League award with Mose Masoe

Leeds Rhinos legend Rob Burrow received the iconic Spirit of Super League award at the Betfred Super League awards, sharing the honour with the inspirational Mose Masoe from Hull KR.

The two players incredible spirit and determination has inspired everyone in Super League this season. On the same day that 20,000 fans were at Emerald Headingley to give their support to Rob Burrow at the fund-raising game against Bradford Bulls, prop Masoe suffered a career ending injury playing for Rovers at Wakefield Trinity. Since then Masoe’s journey has been an inspirational story of his continuing recovery after being told he might never walk again.

Burrow was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in December 2019 and throughout this season clubs and fans alike across the game have put their usual rivalries to one side to support Burrow and his young family as well as raising vital funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association to support research to help Burrow and all those impacted by MND.

Burrow was presented with his award by friend Kevin Sinfield on the pitch at Emerald Headingley.
