On this Day – 1st October

ON THIS DAY in 1977 former Leeds player Adam Hughes was born. The former Milford player made his debut in 1996 and went onto play 12 times for the Rhinos and scored seven tries.

After leaving Leeds he joined Wakefield where he made 47 appearances before joining Halifax. He spent three seasons Widnes Vikings and then played for Leigh, where he won the 2006 Northern Rail Cup, before joining Oldham and Barrow.

Internationally, Hughes played for Wales. He made his debut in 2002 and during his career earned 12 caps and scored nine tries.
