Hurrell and Donaldson ruled out for Rhinos

Konrad Hurrell.

Leeds Rhinos Head Coach Richard Agar has made two changes to his 21 man squad for this Sunday’s Betfred Super League clash with St Helens at Emerald Headingley, kick off 6.30pm.

Earlier in the week, back rower James Donaldson was ruled out for up to six weeks with a back injury suffered during last Sunday’s Golden Point win over Huddersfield Giants. However, Tongan international Konrad Hurrell has also now been ruled out for the game against the reigning Champions. He suffered a hamstring strain against the Giants and is not risked this week however it is hoped it is not a long term lay off.

The Rhinos bring in young full back Jack Broadbent into the squad with Rhys Evans also included. Evans joined the Rhinos this season from Bradford Bulls having previously made over 100 appearances for Warrington Wolves. Both players are yet to make their Leeds Rhinos debuts.

Tom Briscoe could make his first appearance in just over a year having recovered from an ACL injury in August 2019.
