On this day – 21st June

On this day in 2015, Leeds Rhinos welcomed Hull FC to Headingley as they back to winning ways to go back top of Super League after defeat to Castleford Tigers in their previous game.

The hosts led at the break thanks to tries from Danny McGuire, Joel Moon and Jimmy Keinhorst, with Jordan Thompson crashing over for the visitors.

Curtis Naughton touched down to give Hull FC hope before Moon ran in again.

Danny Houghton and Fetuli Talanoa reduced the arrears but two Kevin Sinfield penalties and Carl Ablett’s late try gave Leeds the win.

In 2019, Richard Agar’s Leeds Rhinos travelled to high flying St Helens.

A try in each half from Brad Dwyer and Luke Briscoe were not enough for Leeds as they lost 36-10 to the Betfred Super League leaders at the Totally Wicked Stadium. Saints were red hot in the first half and led 24-6 at the break.
