Women’s Grand Final winner Booth to leave Rhinos to play in Australia

Leeds Rhinos Women’s player and England international, Charlotte Booth, is set to leave the Rhinos to join West Panthers in Australia.

Booth, who was part of the first ever Leeds Rhinos Women’s squad, won two Challenge Cups and a Grand Final during her two seasons with the club, after joining from Bradford Bulls.

Speaking about her decision Booth said: “I have loved my time with the Rhinos and it has been an honour to be part of the women’s team since its formation and to help them achieve success.

“I would like to thank everyone at the club for everything they have done for me over the last two seasons.  It has been a difficult decision to make and I will miss all the girls, but the chance to play in Australia is something I couldn’t turn down and I am excited for the challenge ahead.  I will continue to support the team and wish them the best of luck for the future.”

Leon Crick, team manager for Leeds Rhinos Women added: “Charlotte has played a big role for our team and she will be missed.  When we set up the team in 2017 we needed talented players with experience and Char certainly gave us that and was a big influence in helping some of our young players who were stepping up to play Super League for the first time.  I am sure she will leave with fond memories and pride in helping the team to honours.  On behalf of the club I would like to thank her for all her efforts for the team and she leaves with our best wishes for her new life in Australia and remains a friend of the club.”
