The circle of Rugby League life for Rhinos this Friday

Eighteen year old hooker Corey Johnson is set to make his Leeds Rhinos debut this Friday when the Rhinos welcome Warrington Wolves to Emerald Headingley Stadium on the same night that Jamie Jones-Buchanan will make his 421st and final appearance for his home town club.

England Academy star Johnson has impressed in Rob Burrow’s Under 19 side this season, scoring seven tries in 20 appearance. He has also spent time with Featherstone Rovers on dual registration and will get his chance to play in Super League in the final game of the season.

Jones-Buchanan has won eight Super League rings, two Challenge Cups, three League Leaders Shields and three World Club Challenges in a glittering and will captain the Rhinos on Friday night in his farewell appearance.

The Rhinos are without captain Trent Merrin, who suffered a rib injury in last week’s loss to Salford, and Brett Ferres and Ava Seumanufagai, who had surgery to clear up long standing injuries.

Adam Cuthbertson, Brad Singleton and Nathaniel Peteru return to the 19 man squad.
