Women’s Team News: Rhinos Women get set for third Tigers test this Saturday

Adam Cuthbertson has named an unchanged squad for his team’s game against Castleford Tigers this Saturday at Emerald Headingley Stadium, kick off 1pm.

The Rhinos have won their last two league fixtures and scored an impressive 82 points, while keeping their opponents pointless.

Last week’s 52-0 win against Featherstone Rovers was the Rhinos seventh of the season and keeps them in third spot and in a good place to secure a play off spot.

The Tigers are top of the league and are one of only two teams to defeat Leeds this year, although the Rhinos claimed the honours in the last meeting between the sides in the Women’s Coral Challenge Cup Final.

Tasha Gaines, who made her debut this season, and has been an ever present at hooker was in top form last week, scoring a hat trick against Rovers and she retains her place in the squad.

Courney Hill’s try last week takes her season tally to 13 to increase her lead as the team’s top try scorer. Caitlin Beevers and Fran Goldthorp, who were both on the scoresheet against Featherstone are tied on 8 tries each.
