Women’s Team News: Cuthbertson names team to play Featherstone

Leeds Rhinos Women face Featherstone Rovers Ladies in the Women’s Super League this Sunday 11th August at Sports Park Weetwood, kick off 1pm.

Madison Laverick, who made a brief return in last week’s game against York City Knights following a lengthy time out through injury, is named in the side and is expected to start.

Sophie Robinson, who suffered a serious leg injury in the last game, will be ruled out for the remainder of the season, but there is good news for Cuthbertson’s team with the return of Shannon Lacey, who missed the team’s last game through concussion.

The team’s last game was abandoned following Robinson’s injury, but the RFL ruled this week, following consultation with the respective clubs and after due consideration of RFL Operational rules on abandoned games, that the 30-0 score will stand and the Rhinos awarded the win.

Caitlin Beevers, Hanna Butcher and Chloe Kerrigan, who are all ever presents this season are named in the squad. Courtney Hill is the leading try scorer this season with 12 tries, followed by Caitlin Beevers, Hanna Butcher and Fran Goldthorp who are level on seven each.
