Newman gets maximum points in Man of Steel voting
Teenager Harry Newman picked up three points in the Man of Steel voting from Round 17 doubling his tally for the season.
A member of the Man of Steel panel watches each Betfred Super League game in 2019 and award points to the three outstanding players: 3 points for their chosen stand-out performer, two points for the runner-up, and 1-point for their third ranked player.
The scores will be made public every week, until Round 22 in mid-July. After that, the poll will be hidden until the Awards Ceremony in October.
Newman scored three points having made 155 metres, 16 tackle busts and three clean breaks. His team mate Tui Lolohea was rewarded for his long range interception try with one point becoming the twelve Rhino this season to secure Man of Steel points.
Brad Dwyer is the leading player for the Rhinos so far with seven points with Newman in second spot now two points clear of Konrad Hurrell.
