Sutcliffe ruled out through illness

Liam Sutcliffe in action for England Knights against Papua New Guinea in 2018.

Leeds Rhinos star Liam Sutcliffe has been ruled out of the second England Knights game against Papua New Guinea this Saturday through illness.

Castleford’s Oliver Holmes has been called into the Knights 17 to face the Kumuls in Port Moresby on Saturday, November 3 (KO 5.30am GMT).

The second-row will replace Sutcliffe. Rhinos players Ash Handley, Jack Walker and Mik Oledzki are all in the Knights line up.

Holmes made his England debut against France last month and played a vital part in the Knights’ 16-12 victory in the first of their two internationals against PNG in Lae last weekend.

Highlights of the second match, at the Oil Search Stadium in Port Moresby, will be available to watch exclusively on Our League for free.
